The following operations, besides others less

important, have been successfully performed by Dr. Chung during

the quarter:-

Amputation through the thigh,

Later Lithotomy for vesical calculus (two cases),

Reduction of dislocation of hip joint,

Operations for double cataract (two cases),

DO.

Do. fistula in ano.

Stoves were erected to replace the former fire

places in each of the wards of the hospital, not including the

small Ko Fong Wards, at the beginning of the cold season.

A strong iron fence, reaching nearly to the

ceiling, has been erected round the verandah of the upper floor

of the west block of wards, which includes the fever ward, to

avoid risks to delirious patients.
